Conservation status missing from trait bank

Hello,
The conservation status is mentioned in terms.csv with uris, but there are no values for it in traits.csv?
How can it be obtained?

Really? Nothing should be excluded by design, and there are no synonym or subclass relationships to deal with in this case. Let me see…

My text editor (eventually) found 157853 instances. You searched traits.csv for
http://rs.tdwg.org/ontology/voc/SPMInfoItems#ConservationStatus
?

Jen

No, I get 0 results for that search. But I can search for e.g. http://eol.org/schema/terms/ExtinctionStatus and get 89217 results, so it is probably because of the corrupt file.
Would it be possible to try and re-zip the trait bank and upload it?
Thanks.

That’s odd. I searched in the traits file from the archive I downloaded from All trait data. I’ve stashed my search results in my google drive. Does that shed any light?

Jen

Yes macOS has no problems unzipping, but the “data error” I got must have removed the conservation status rows. The file will probably be without any problems next time updated.

I added these rows to my unzipped version of traits.csv for a total of 3,717,591 unique rows and then it works as expected. Hopefully these are all the rows in the original file, so thank you!

Oh, the traits file has 11,394,558 rows. Try this copy from my google drive. I did have to zip it, but maybe your system will have better luck with my machine’s zip process…

Yes, this file unzips with no problems!
Now I have 11,394,558 rows as well, thanks!
