Data Search Body Mass/Length

Hello! Hope you’re doing well. I am attempting to search for mammal species by body mass, but when I place the range of mass (in grams) it gives results for species whose neonate life stage fit that range.

For example, if I search for mammals between 100-200 g, it will species such as the Pale-throated Sloth. Adults of this sloth species are 3850 g as adults, but their newborns are about 178.66 g.

The data search looks for the mass/length of the newborns, not the adults. I’m not sure what to do to search for adult size. If anyone has tips for this, I’d appreciate it a ton.

Apologies, @vingirgenti ! Our sex and lifestage filters are not working in the search page. If you’re downloading your search results, I suggest you use a “Record” search and then filter your downloaded file by the lifestage column to get just the adult records. If you’re writing a query at our cypher endpoint, you should be able to use a lifestage filter there and get straight to a species list. (Let me know if you need a hand with the syntax.) I’m afraid at the website search interface there isn’t a handy workaround.
