Following up on a conversation on Twitter, I’m curious what expectations are for how EOLv3 should support adding new taxa. For example:
The “basics” could be entered using a form - or perhaps even simply added here - subject to curatorial review.
My sense is that we’d want to wait for publication so that we could cite the original description, identify the type directory, etc.
Thoughts?
New species alerts are high on my radar (I’ve been posting some of them to the Facebook page) so just speaking as a curator it would be nice to have some sort of submission form/process to get them added to the EOL database ASAP after publication…
